Clippers’ Paul George reveals Nicki Minaj asked him to be in her music video
|Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George, despite not having won an NBA championship yet, has gained significant public recognition. His fame extends to the point where Grammy-nominated rapper and singer Nicki Minaj reached out to collaborate with him.
George revealed on the Podcast P with Paul George that Minaj approached him about appearing in her music video about a year or two ago. When his co-host Jackie Long inquired if he was asked to play the lover in the video, George mentioned that he wasn’t sure and joked about looking at his partner Daniela, expressing that he couldn’t do it. While both George and Daniela were excited about the opportunity, he had to decline due to scheduling conflicts at the time.
Although he would have gladly participated if his schedule allowed, George couldn’t commit. Despite the missed opportunity, the possibility remains for them to collaborate in the future. However, George’s current focus is on the NBA Finals, with the Clippers aiming for the championship. They are currently in fourth place, trailing the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder by 2 1/2 games.
Recently returning from a knee injury, George’s performance is crucial for the Clippers, especially with Russell Westbrook sidelined due to a fractured hand. If George, alongside Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and the rest of the Clippers, manages to succeed in the highly competitive Western Conference during the postseason, his demand in the music and entertainment industry is likely to soar.
