Scottie Pippen’s LeBron vs. Jordan Take Draws Criticism from Agent David Falk

David Falk suggests that Scottie Pippen’s fluctuating choice between Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the greatest of all time (GOAT) stems from envy. Pippen has alternated between praising his former teammate Jordan and LeBron James in different interviews.

According to Falk, Pippen’s oscillating opinions are fueled by a certain level of jealousy towards Michael Jordan. Despite winning six NBA championships alongside Jordan, Pippen played in MJ’s shadow throughout his career. Falk believes that Pippen, who possibly thinks he could have achieved greatness independently, is attempting to downplay Jordan’s accomplishments.

“Pippen has a certain level of jealousy towards Michael,” Falk explained. “He has said recently many times he thinks LeBron’s a better player. Now, if you’re Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan made your career, completely made your career; even if you think that, keep it to yourself.” Falk implies that Pippen’s public expressions of LeBron’s superiority over Jordan may be influenced by personal sentiments of envy and a desire to assert his own worth.
